No More Stress About Our Dock
A couple weeks ago, I came across a glowing review of the Wake Breaker system, offered by Alabama Dock Specialist, ADS, in Cullman. I was very interested, because we have an almost identical situation. Main channel, on a pointe, a dock being beaten and battered by constant wake action. This made using the dock almost impossible, at times. Especially on heavy traffic days. Not to mention it was causing me great anxiety, as July 4th approached. Last year was awful!! So, I called ADS. David got back to me, almost immediately. He explained everything to me, in terms that were easy to understand. Basically, the Wake Breaker is a curtain-like system, that wraps the dock and deflects the wake down into the lake, away from the dock. After discussing it with my family, we decided to go with it.
Boy, am I glad we did!! David, and his crew, surprised me, and were able to get the system installed Friday, before the 4th insanity. We were actually able to enjoy the dock!! The difference in movement is amazing!! My son was a bit skeptical about this. Now, he’s a true believer! I would highly recommend the Wake Breaker system. My anxiety level has been greatly decreased, along with the wake action. At least, I’m not stressing about my dock being torn to pieces!!Thanks David!!😊

They Are Great To Work With
ADS installed my Wake Breaker In the off season this year and I have to say I put David through the paces. I agree with all the comments about David being great to work with. I asked a ton of questions over several phone calls and checked references. The product works as advertised! We are on the main channel and get absolutely rocked by the wake boats. I was amazed at the reduction in up and down motion. It is well worth the money and I highly recommend the Wake Breaker!

I Was Very Impressed
I own a dock repair and maintenance business. I am constantly on the water repairing docks, repositioning floats and when welding is necessary it is almost impossible when the docks are moving up and down and back and forth due to all the boat traffic. This past season I was on two docks making repairs and welding. Welding was difficult to say the least especially with all the boat traffic. When I got to my third job, the boat traffic was even worse, wake boats, pontoon boats and kids on jet skis were constantly passing by. I noticed several differences, although the dock was moving it was not moving nearly as bad as the other docks. I was actually able to weld and repair the storm damage without any problem. I said something to the customer about the black curtain I saw on their dock and they told me they had just had the Wake Breaker installed. I was very impressed with how much it reduced the movement of the dock. IT WORKS!

Our review of The Wake Breaker: If you deal with your dock rocking and being damaged due to large wakes, you NEED to consider THE WAKE BREAKER. It has improved the function of our dock by 90%!!! David does an excellent job explaining how the system works and answering questions. He also has many references. Installation went smoothly and the customer service is excellent. My only recommendation is to get on the list NOW so you too can enjoy your dock this summer!

To Say We Are Satisfied Is An Understatement
The Wake Breaker or "Dock Skirt" as I call it. Well, we bought our lake home in 2021 and knew very little if anything, about lake living. We have a nice dock, but could hardly enjoy being on it for all the movement. We are on a point on the main channel and our dock was taking a beating from all the waves and standing was nearly impossible without holding to a rail and sitting wasn't much better.
We were slightly disappointed that we would be able to enjoy our deck like many others. I began some research and reaching out to locals and found some great folks with ADS Marine & Outdoors. We had stopped into their store for some added bumpers for our dock, but after talking with David about our movement issue in such a high boat traffic area, we agreed to try the "dock skirt". OMG has life on our dock been amazing!! It was almost impossible to sit your water bottle down without it tumbling. We have several grands and we were very concerned about their safety while on the dock with the excessive movement.
The implementation of The Wake Breaker was remarkable and to be honest, we were both a bit skeptical about how it could make such a difference. To say that we are satisfied is an understatement. We would encourage ANYONE trying to minimize dock movement from huge waves to add The Wake Breaker to your dock!! We rarely leave our dock now and the grands run and play without any concern of the water traffic. As a matter of fact, this review is being typed on my phone as I sit and watch the big boats pass by and I would have never been able to do this before. Thank you ADS Marine & Outdoors for solving out issue. Loving Smith Lake even more!

The Difference Is Truly Amazing
We have seen a lot of posts about the Wake Breaker but initially was hesitant in getting one. After July 4th, we spoke to David and was very impressed with what he described and along with all we had read decided to move forward. So like others we also have a story.
We live on a main channel in an area with high traffic even during the week, but especially on weekends and holiday's. Sometimes we wish we were in the back of a cove, but we love our view where we are. Sadly, we have used our dock less and less especially when the grands are in town. Like others, we too have to hold on to the rails or posts and hoping our drinks remain upright is a joke, it's hard enough for us to remain upright. We decided to have the Wake Breaker installed before the Labor Day weekend, so we called David and initiated the process. This was very easy and again David was very professional, kind and sympathetic to our concerns. His crew measured our dock, he answered several of our NEW questions and we placed the order. The very first thing we noticed was, the normal squeaks our dock made were for the most part gone or definitely quieter. But the MOVEMENT, OMG, THE DIFFERENCE IS TRULY AMAZING! We were actually on our dock the entire holiday, friends were over and they even noticed the difference in our dock as compared to theirs. Truly amazing, the Wake Breaker is a game changer.
My husband who is an engineer and the main reason for our original skepticism had this to say. Yep, I don't have to worry about moving again to the back of a cove, I'm convinced... A man of many words. So, yes it works, David and his crew are great, the Wake Breaker looks good on the dock and actually keeps the kids from swimming under the dock. So that is another benefit.
